We deploy capital only into transactions where structure, security, and fundamentals are clearly aligned, and where conviction is built through firsthand diligence and direct access. GZL Capital is not a broker or placement agent; we remain actively involved in each transaction from initial underwriting through execution and exit.

OUR PROCESS

How We Invest

GZL Capital primarily invests in real estate-backed transactions and revenue-generating businesses, with a concentration in the New York City and South Florida markets. Our capital is deployed where value can be clearly measured and risk can be structurally mitigated. We focus on three distinct opportunities:

Private Lending

Private lending is our primary focus and core expertise. GZL Capital provides secured loans to fund real estate development projects, existing commercial real estate acquisitions, and cash-flowing physical businesses. All loans are structured with strong collateral positions, including real property, liens on accounts receivable, and other tangible security. These investments are designed to prioritize downside protection and predictable return profiles. We currently maintain a diversified portfolio of loans with varying maturities providing consistent debt service payments to our clients.

Private lending is our primary focus and core expertise. GZL Capital provides secured loans to fund real estate development projects, existing commercial real estate acquisitions, and cash-flowing physical businesses. Real Estate Development

Through the success of our private lending platform, GZL Capital’s real estate footprint extents to directly participating in the development process, where economically viable. Typically, GZL Capital focuses on entitlement-driven value creation: we coordinate and fund the purchase of real property, secure all necessary entitlements for multi-family housing, and sell the asset at a premium to a third-party development firm. In select cases, GZL Capital directly proceeds with vertical construction and project execution. Our goal is to allow investors to participate more deeply in real estate value creation while maintaining disciplined oversight.

Currently, GZL Capital is focused on home services, licensed construction services, and wholesaler businesses.

Benjamin Katz brings over a decade of experience structuring private investments across lending, equity, and real estate development. He is recognized for his ability to navigate complex transactions and see challenging deals through to completion. Known for a conservative, detail-oriented approach, Benjamin is an expert at assessing risk and structuring investments that prioritize capital preservation and predictable returns. His work is grounded in long-standing relationships and a deep understanding of real-asset markets.
